EDgE aims to provide climate-derived information to the water sector community for improved decision making regarding mitigation and adaptation strategies in Europe at timescales from seasonal to multi-decadal. EDgE has the unique capacity to translate climate information into knowledge that is relevant to the water sector. It aims to develop a Sectoral Information Service (SIS) based on appropriately tiered dissemination mechanisms of Sectoral Climate Impact Indicators (SCIIs) designed with stakeholders of the water sector to specifically target key users with different needs, scientific understanding and technical abilities. EDgE will further use the generated information to derive new SCIIs co-designed with users of the European Water Sector Community.
