9th Meeting of the Water Governance Initiative of the OECD
The 9th Meeting of the Water Governance Initiative (WGI) of the OECD was held in Paris, at the headquarters of the OECD, from 3rd to 7th July 2017. Delegates discussed the revised indicator framework, proposed as a tool for dialogue to support the implementation of the OECD Principles on Water Governance, building on comments received at the 8th WGI meeting (January) and on the lessons learned from the 12 pilot-tests previously carried out in several hydrological basins. Moreover, delegates addressed the peer review of the Policy Dialogue with Brazil and debated the policy implications of recent territorial and environmental reforms in France on the governance of water resources and services, among other updates.
