The 1^st Steering Committee of the 4^th Mediterranean Water Forum took place on 21^st April 2020 via videoconference (due to the Covid-19 crisis). The meeting was chaired by the coordinators of the Mediterranean Water Forum: Institut Méditerranéen de l’Eau (IME), Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the Energy and Water Agency (EWA) of Malta as the host country of the upcoming Forum. Besides MENBO, the meeting gathered 27 participants representing the most relevant Mediterranean organisations and networks including IME, UfM, SEMIDE, MIO-ESCE, IEMED, Europe-Inbo, GWPMed, CMI, WWC, CEDARE, and AWC.

Led by the coordinators, the participants put forward and discussed their points of view and advice on the Preliminary proposed agenda for the 4^th Med Forum and on the synergies with the upcoming World Water Forum in March 2021 in Dakar (Senegal), pointing their experiences and priorities at regional level.
