The 6^th MENBO General Assembly was celebrated in Sibiu, Rumania, on 1^st October 2008. The Assembly took place back to back with the Euro-Inbo Meeting on the implementation of the Water Framework Directive, and together with the 9^th meeting of the MENBO Liaison Bureau. Notably, on this occasion, the members approved the membership of the Litani River Basin Authority of Lebanon. Moreover, the members discussed the proposal of creating a working group within the framework of MENBO in the Middle East region to be dedicated to regional issues.
